How can I fix video playing issues on Chromecast?

I am unable to cast

• Confirm the Crunchyroll app and Google Home apps are updated to the latest versions.
• Disable casting, close the Crunchyroll app, then reopen it and restart the casting process.
• If you are using Chromecast with Google TV, reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
• For those using older Chromecast versions, reinstall the Crunchyroll app on your secondary device.
• Give your Chromecast a quick reboot.
• Ensure your device is connected to the same wireless network as your Chromecast.

Why do I get a black screen when I attempt to cast?

2. Make sure that the Crunchyroll app on your secondary devices is up-to-date for seamless streaming.
   • If you are unable to cast the Crunchyroll Chromecast application, your device might be using an older Chromecast version or a custom Chromecast Receiver not supported by Google.

The video has a purple/green tint while it's buffering

If you're experiencing this issue, it may be because the "Always HDR" setting is enabled on your Chromecast with Google TV. To fix it, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings on your Chromecast with Google TV.
2. Select Dynamic Range & Color Format from the menu.
3. Choose Match Content Dynamic Range option to ensure the dynamic range and color format of the content you are watching matches your TVs capabilities.

I chose English subtitles for my English Dubbed episode, but I can't see any subtitles. Why?

  • The subtitle file only includes crucial information like signs or forced narratives. For example, in Dr. Stone episode one, only English-forced narrative subtitles are available.
• Subtitles will not appear on dubbed episodes to avoid confusion since the audio is already in English.
